French Windows

Although a personal response and not a survey, I have nevertheless visited different parts of France.

This is France in the first decade of the new millennium, and there are images of modern urban France shown alongside the mysteries and historical resonances of La France Profonde.

The photographs range from the rural depths of the Vendèe and Poitou-Charentes to the glitz and glamour of the Côte d’Azur; from Bastille Day races in Normandy to cosmopolitan Paris.

My images are mostly entertaining and poetic, and above all “star” French people,
entering the twenty-first century in stylish and surprising ways.

The photographs are uniformly printed and framed.
Size of photographs: 33.3cm x 22.2cm.
Size when framed: 38.3cm x 28.3cm.

Total number of framed photographs: 45 (some can be seen in a gallery of this website).
Smaller selections and individual photographs can be exhibited.
